All Wurzler™ shoes are UNISEX and therefore suitable for women and men.
We recommend choosing your usual shoe size.
In general, our shoes come up slightly large, so if you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size.
To be sure, you can stand on a sheet of paper, trace around your foot and then measure the longest point.
Add roughly 1 cm to this measurement to leave a little room for your foot. You can then compare the result with the table below.
For example: you measure your foot and it comes to 26.5 cm – add 1 cm = 27.5 cm. Size 42 would therefore fit, as it has an insole length of 27.6 cm.
| EU shoe size | Insole length |
|---|---|
| 36 | 23.7 cm |
| 37 | 24.4 cm |
| 38 | 25.0 cm |
| 39 | 25.6 cm |
| 40 | 26.3 cm |
| 41 | 27.0 cm |
| 42 | 27.6 cm |
| 43 | 28.3 cm |
| 44 | 28.9 cm |
| 45 | 29.6 cm |
| 46 | 30.2 cm |

What makes barefoot shoes special
The human foot is naturally designed to move freely and feel the ground beneath it. However, many conventional shoes with thick, stiff soles and raised heels mean the foot can't roll through its step as naturally. They also often reduce direct contact with the earth.
Many people today are no longer used to walking barefoot or in minimal shoes, so it may feel a little different at first. With Wurzler™ barefoot shoes, you can gradually get your body used to a more natural walking feel again – with more room for your feet and more freedom of movement with every step.
The thin, flexible sole supports a more natural rolling motion of the foot. This gives your feet the chance to work more actively, while muscles, tendons and ligaments are engaged more naturally. The result is a lighter, freer and more mindful walking feel in everyday life.
Experience nature with every step
Wurzler™ barefoot shoes don't just give you the feeling of walking more naturally – they also combine it with a well-thought-out grounding function. On natural, conductive surfaces such as grass, forest floor, gravel or sand, the special sole can enable grounding contact.
This way, you combine the free feeling of walking barefoot with a simple, natural connection to the earth – no electricity, no complicated technology and no esoteric promises.
Walk more naturally – with Wurzler™ barefoot shoes.
Light and flexible: The shoe has a soft, thin and flexible heel area, so it feels comfortable and unrestricted when you walk. Thanks to their low weight of around 220 g per shoe and their very flexible sole, Wurzler™ barefoot shoes are pleasant companions for everyday life, walks in nature or light sporting activities.
Thin barefoot sole: Our shoes feature an ultra-thin, flexible sole that helps your foot roll through its step more naturally. You feel the ground more consciously and give your feet more room to move actively.
Ergonomic design without constriction: The wide fit gives your toes more room and supports the natural shape of the foot. Especially if you're used to conventional, narrow shoes, this may feel new at first. Many customers soon find the extra toe room especially comfortable.
Grounding technology: The special sole enables grounding on natural surfaces such as grass, forest floor, gravel or sand. So you can easily make contact with the earth's natural potential as you walk.
Breathable material: The shoe is made of soft, breathable material that feels pleasant and helps keep your feet comfortably dry.

Material composition
Our shoes are vegan. Here is the exact material composition:
Upper:
Lightweight cotton canvas.
Insole:
Foam insole with Zero Drop – meaning no raised heel – including silver threads. The shoes can also be worn without the insole for an even more direct barefoot feel.
Sole:
High-tech rubber sole blended with graphene.
Graphene is a highly conductive, flexible material, which is why it is also used in applications where conductivity matters. In our sole, it helps to enable grounding contact on natural, conductive surfaces.
Good to know: Geim and Novoselov were awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics for their experiments with the two-dimensional material graphene.
Transparency about production
Our shoes are designed and developed in Austria. Production currently takes place in China. For some people, this is a sticking point – and we understand that. But there is a clear reason: at present, there is no manufacturer in the German-speaking region that can produce our special grounding sole technology in this way.
For us, production in China does not automatically mean lower quality. We work with carefully selected partners who meet our quality standards.
Our shoe boxes and tissue paper are already produced in Austria. Should it become possible in future to have the shoes made in Austria or Germany as well, we will of course look into this option again.
Cleaning and care
You get the best cleaning results by hand, using a suitable shoe cleaner.
Our recommendation: the care and cleaning kit from our accessories range.
With our protection, care and cleaning kit, we offer you a sustainable solution that combines cleaning, care and protection – ideal for your Wurzler™ shoes.

FAQs
Especially at the beginning, questions about our Wurzler™ products can come up quickly. Here you'll find the answers to the most common ones.
Didn't find the answer to your question? Feel free to get in touch with our customer service team.
I have never had barefoot shoes – what should I look out for?
The shoes are genuinely very thin and offer little to no cushioning. If you are wearing barefoot shoes for the first time, we recommend taking it slowly so your body can get used to them.
Do I have to wear the Wurzler™ shoes barefoot?
No – in fact, we recommend wearing the shoes with socks for extra comfort. Thin socks generally have only a very small effect on conductivity, especially if the sole of your foot is in direct contact with the insole, which in our shoes has silver threads in the forefoot area. Thicker socks would of course insulate more, but with thin socks you'll still have a good connection in most cases. Alternatively, you can use socks from our range: they are also very thin, have excellent conductivity and offer a handy extra benefit – they don't start to smell, as silver has an antibacterial effect.
How do returns work?
